Alba is my first sighthound, a long–term dream come true, which is what her name says (Wonderful Dream). She realized and exceeded all my expectations from the breed. Thanks to her, I discovered the world of Russian borzoi, the excitement and incomparable pleasure of sighthound hunting, became interested in coursing and met many people who are passionate about the breed in Russia and abroad.

Alba combines intelligence, dignity, refined aristocracy in appearance and behavior with explosive passion, speed, endurance and persistance in chasing hare. She is a real Russian Borzoi, my friend, love and admiration.

Alba, as far as I know, is the unique  borzoi in the world, having both of the highest  achievements - international beauty title, Interchampion (C.I.B.), and a first-degree Diploma in field trials for hare, the highest score possible. For me, this is the ideal of Functional Beauty.
