Kudeyar - Winner and BOB of Bodensee Trophy in Switzerland
On June 21-22 our Alba Racing team, named so in honour of our first and truly outstanding borzoi Alba (Lunnaja Raduga Divnaya Mechta) took part in the 30-th Bodensee Trophy organized by Swiss Sighthound Club. It was Beauty and Performance weekend with a CAC dog show on Saturday judged by Maja Cosic, Croatia, and CACIL coursing the next day. In order to have quorum and CACIL awarded to each gender, we entered all our active runners - Raskat, Kudeyar, Pava and Kharisma. On the dog show each of our participants got CAC and became its class winner - Kudeyar and Kharisma in intermediate class, Raskat - in champion class, also he became Best male and with his CAC got a new title of Swiss Beauty Champion!
The next day the organizers moved the start by 1 hour earlier due to high temperature forecast. Thanks to this great idea and to smart lure coursing technical system not requiring long recharging our team has completed the second run by 11.00 am with the temperature +24C. It was a pity that out of 9 borzois enetered only 5 showed up at the start, therefore only one CACIL in mix was available.
Rua Soleil Kudeyar got CACIL, CACL and BOB with 528 points and as a result of two days took the 1st place in Beauty and Performance ranking!
He gave all he could to the runs and slept over the award ceremony with “don’t disturb sign” in the camper.
Kharisma was not lucky to be placed with Raskat in both runs. He is the boss of our pack, senior male, so she gave him all the initiative to do the job and was following him just to help out in case he misses the prey. She was placed 3rd in coursing. Raskat got the 4-th place in coursing and the 2-nd in Beauty&Performance ranking following Kudeayr, and Pava, who ran alone, got the 5-th place in coursing.
We were very happy with the performance of our team and the results. The location was beautiful with Swiss Alps at the background, organization - excellent, warm atmosphere and sunny weather.
Now we are on the summer break, all are getting rest from the shows and coursing. Too hot!
